Two changes to Mayo team facing Dublin on Sunday

Mayo GAA senior football manager Kevin McStay has made two changes to the team that started against Galway last time out for the All-Ireland senior football championship quarterfinal against Dublin this Sunday (July 2) in Croke Park.

Regular midfield Matthew Ruane is recalled to the starting 15 in place of Kevin McLoughlin, with Padraig O'Hora getting the nod this time out ahead of his club-mate Sam Callinan in defence.

McLoughlin and Callinan are named on the Mayo bench.

Colm Reape continues in goal, with O'Hora and the impressive Jack Coyne now flanking marauding full-back David McBrien.

Captain Paddy Durcan, Stephen Coen and Eoghan McLaughlin are listed in the Mayo half-back line for this winner-takes-all quarterfinal, while Matthew Ruane and Diarmuid O'Connor are reacquainted at midfield.

Up front, Jason Doherty, Jack Carney and Jordan Flynn now form a new-look Mayo half-forward line. Doherty started against Galway at centre-back last weekend but is now back in more familiar surroundings in the Mayo attack.

Breaffy powerhouse Aidan O'Shea is named at corner forward, with Tommy Conroy getting consecutive starts on the edge of the small square at full-forward. Belmullet sharpshooter Ryan O'Donoghue is listed to start at top of the right for Mayo.

O'Shea will make his 84th championship appearance on Sunday, which equals Andy Moran's Mayo record. It also places him joint sixth on all-time list behind Stephen Cluxton, Sean Cavanagh, Tomás and Marc Ó Sé, and Colm Cooper.

Meath's David Gough will referee Sunday's quarterfinal, which will throw in at 4 p.m. Mayo GAA will have live updates across all social media, while the game will be covered live on RTÉ 2 and also Midwest Radio with commentary from Michael D. McAndrew and Martin Carney. Tickets can be purchased here.
