Car break-ins during service at Mayo church reported to gardaí
CAR break-ins during a church service at the weekend have been brought to the attention of the gardaí.
At least two vehicles were targeted at the Church of Ireland in Turlough on Saturday evening.
The break-ins occurred while a service was taking place for people who died during the Covid period.
Councillor Michael Kilcoyne has contacted the district garda superintendent about the matter after he was contacted by a number of people from the community who are 'very distressed' following the incident.
He requested that the necessary resources be put in place to bring the perpetrators to justice.
