A noticeable drop in temperatures has meant a cold snap, with wintery conditions throughout the previous week.

Tomorrow will see scattered showers merging into longer spells of rain for a time in the morning, with isolated thunderstorms possible. Becoming drier and brighter later in the day with sunny spells developing.

Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees in moderate to fresh westerly winds veering north-westerly.

The national outlook remains very unsettled but turning warmer late in the week and for the weekend.

Tuesday night will become largely dry with clear spells but more showers will reach Atlantic coastal counties by morning.

Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light west to south-westerly winds.

A few mist patches in places too.
