Status yellow rain warning for Mayo today

MET Éireann has issued a status yellow rain warning for four counties - Mayo, Galway, Cork and Kerry.

It comes into effect from 10 a.m. today.

There will be heavy rain at times which may cause localised flooding. The rain will be accompanied by fresh to strong winds and will lead to poor travelling conditions.

Rainfall totals will be higher in mountainous regions.

The warning is valid from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
