Passing of Castlebar woman Maureen Tobin deeply regretted
THE death has occurred peacefully of Maureen Tobin (née Ruane), ‘Mallard House’, Newport Road, Castlebar, and formerly of Ballina.
Maureen was a respected and popular figure in the community, well known through her long association with the Fianna Fáil Cumann in the county town.
She was also a former lady captain and lady president of Castlebar Golf Club, where she was held in great affection among the members.
Maureen was predeceased by her husband Dr. Seán, son Roderick and grandsons Michael and Seán.
She will be sadly missed by her loving family Michael, Ailbhe, John and Derek, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, relatives and friends, to whom sympathy is extended on their great loss.
Maureen will repose at Coady’s Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 p.m., with removal at 7 p.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.
Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday at 11.30 a.m. with burial afterwards in Castlebar New Cemetery.
