Green light for Islandeady Community Centre

A NEW community centre for Islandeady has moved a step closer to becoming a reality.

The local community development company has been granted planning permission for a new centre at a central site in the village, just north of the church and opposite the GAA car park.

Facilities will include a sports hall, changing rooms, community room, meeting rooms, kitchen, dining room, toilet and shower facilities.

It is also proposed to have a retail/cafe space in the building.
