Big rescue team gathers in Mayo for annual Reek pilgrimage

Mayo Mountain Rescue Team is gearing up for Reek Sunday.

It is expected to involve around 70 mountain rescue volunteers from Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Wales.

A special marquee is being erected to cater for all the volunteers.

Members of the public taking part in the pilgrimage are urged to exercise care and heed the advice of stewards and other volunteers on the holy mountain.
