Mayo footballer signs for northern club
KILTIMAGH Knock United player James McGrath is on the move.
He has signed for a northern club, Ballinamallard United FC in Co. Fermanagh, in the run up to the start of their new season next weekend.
The 23-year-old midfielder previously had a stint at Sligo Rovers and has been a key player at his home club since Kiltimagh Knock returned to the Super League.
In a statement, the club, players and management of the KK senior team wished James the best of luck as he sets out on a new chapter in his career.
“James was a key reason that the KK senior team has been so competitive over the past two seasons. His own high standards rubbed off on his teammates and helped ensure the team's professional like environment.
“The club was delighted to offer a player a chance to be recognised and get back playing at a higher level once again.”
