Mayo musicians to be honoured at All-Ireland Fleadh

TWO Mayo musicians are to be honoured at the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil.

Tom Doherty and Grainne Hambly will be among the recipients of the Comhaltas Bardic Award.

Foxford musician, music teacher and sound engineer Tom Doherty is one of the founding members of the CCÉ Admiral Brown Comhaltas branch, while Grainne Hambly is a much respected harpist.

Six people in total will be presented with Comhaltas Bardic Awards at a gala dinner at the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Mullingar on August 8.
