Ballina man Garron Noone, who is known for his honest food tasting videos and comical town reviews has been showcasing the struggles NWSPCA have been dealing with of late.

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a surge in pet acquisitions, including purchases, breeding, and adoptions.

However, this trend has led to a distressing issue in Mayo, where an increasing number of dogs and other animals are left abandoned.

The NWSPCA charity has stepped in to provide vital support and care for these abandoned animals, addressing the unfortunate consequence of pets being discarded by their owners within the county.

Fortunately, a spokesperson with a heart and a huge platform has come on board to help spread awareness of the issue and to make an urgent call to action to his followers to aid the NWSPCA.

Garron highlights that the cost of providing veterinary care, protection and support for abandoned animals in Mayo has left the entirely voluntarily run NWSPCA with 100 thousand euro worth of debt.

The famed tiktoker states “unfortunately the North West SPCA are at risk of closing their doors, the reality is that many vulnerable animals will suffer as a result.”
