Connie Cawley (née Grehan), Ballyholan, Ballina.
Connie, predeceased by her parents, Ambrose and Bridgie Grehan, Kate and Tom Deane, her brother Danny, sisters Christina and Bridie, and her grandson Sebastien.
Connie, beloved wife of Walter and dear mother of Aiden (Dublin), Leonard (Dublin), Stephen (Dublin) and Suzanne Laurent (Dublin). Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughter, daughters-in-law Ines, Annalisa, Aoife, son-in-law Fred, grandchildren Conor, Eimear, Devin, Alex, Éabha, Kate, Clodagh, Elliott, Jacques, and Tiernan. Also sadly missed by her brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina, on Tuesday evening from 5 – 7 p.m.
Funeral will arrive to St Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina, on Wednesday morning for 11.30 a.m. Requiem Mass, followed by burial in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina.
PEGGY MCANDREW, CROSSMOLINA
Peggy (Margaret) (née McKenzie), McAndrew, Ballymachola, and formerly of Knockroe, Bonniconlon.
Predeceased by her husband Martin (Marty Joe), her brother Michael , and her daughter-in-law Liz.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters Rosemary (Hegarty, Roscommon), Beatrice (Bourke, Johnstown Bridge, Kildare), Elaine (Gorman, Ballina), sons Martin, Padraic (Maynooth), Raymond (Dunboyne), David, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, relatives, neighbours, and friends.
Reposing at the residence of her son Padraic on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by prayer reception at 8 p.m. in the church of The Holy Rosary, Cooneal.
Mass in Cooneal on Wednesday at 12 noon, followed by burial in Lisheen cemetery.
BEATRICE MAY, ACHILL
Beatrice May (née Heaney), Clontarf, Dublin and formerly of Achill.
Raheny, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Sean May. Loving mother to her daughters Caroline, Deirdre and Susan and to her son John, wonderful nanny to Aoife, Saoirse, Aisling, Eamonn, Zemma, Cathy and Alice. Bea will be sadly missed by her family; sons-in-law Brian, Kevin and Carl and daughter-in-law Sharon, her sister Kathleen, brothers, nieces and nephews, her in-laws, extended family and a wide circle of wonderful friends and neighbours.
Bea will be lying in repose at The Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Tuesday, (15th August 15 with family in attendance from 3.00 p.m.
She will be removed to the Church of St. John The Baptist, Clontarf, arriving for 5.00 p.m.
Bea’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 16 at 10.00 a.m. and she will be laid to rest afterwards with her beloved husband Sean in Fingal Cemetery, Balgriffin.
JOHN MCGURK, TOURMAKEADY
John McGurk, Westport and Tourmakeady, native of Termonmaguirc Carrickmore.
Predeceased by his wife Barbara and youngest son Matthew. Survived by sons Timothy and Patrick and grandchildren Leah, Hannah, Kelly, Gabi, Sarah, Noel and Maria. Much loved and missed by family, friends, and colleagues. A professor of Irish history, lover of poetry, books, and language.
John will repose at St Mary’s funeral home, Tourmakeady on Tuesday evening, August 15 from 5:30 p.m., with removal at 7:00 p.m. to Tourmakeady Church.
Funeral mass at 11.00 a.m. on August 16 at St Mary’s Church, Tourmakeady.
Private cremation in Shannon on Thursday, August 17.
MARY QUINN, CASTLEBAR
Mary Quinn (née Coghlan), Springfield, Castlebar and late of Mc Hale Road, Castlebar.
Predeceased by her son TJ, husband Frank, parents John and Julia, brothers Tommy and Denis and sister Margaret.
Deeply regretted by her heartbroken daughters Maria (Quinn) and Maeve (Thompson), sons - in- Law Jim (Ruane) and Brian (Thompson), grandsons TJ, Jake, Noah and Isaac, sisters-in-law Sheila and Joan (Coghlan), brother-in-law Richard (Dick) Quinn.
Mary will repose at her residence on Tuesday, August 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.15 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar followed by burial afterwards in Castlebar Old Cemetery.
TOMMIE NUGENT, WESTPORT
Tommie Nugent, Essex, UK and formerly of Keelcuil, Liscarney, Westport.
Predeceased by his parents John and Mary and his brother John Joe.
Tommie will be sadly missed by his wife Helen, sons Tom and John and daughter Marian, grandchildren, sisters Margaret Butler, Noreen McGing and Catherine Walsh and his brothers Michael, Gerry, Martin, Paul and Vincent, his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Cushlough on Wednesday evening, August 16, at 6 p.m. followed by burial of remains in the adjoining cemetery.
