Tributes to popular Castlebar personality on her passing
The death of Mary Quinn (née Coghlan), Springfield, and late of McHale Road, Castlebar, is widely mourned in the community.
She died peacefully at her residence in the loving care of her family.
A much-loved and respected personality, the deceased was involved in the business life of Castlebar for many years and ran a very successful shop with her husband Frank at Springfield. They also operated a travelling grocery shop for some time.
Many warm tributes are being paid to the deceased on the condolences page of the death notices website, RIP.ie.
One stated: "I have fond memories of her shop and being a customer. She was a lovely lady with a beautiful smile."
"Mary was a lovely person as was her late husband Frank. Such lovely business people to call to," another stated.
Mary is deeply regretted by her heartbroken daughters Maria (Quinn) and Maeve (Thompson), sons-in-law Jim (Ruane) and Brian (Thompson), grandsons TJ, Jake, Noah and Isaac, sisters-in-law Sheila and Joan (Coghlan), brother-in-law Richard (Dick) Quinn, to whom sympathy is tendered.
She was predeceased by her son TJ, husband Frank, parents John and Julia, brothers Tommy and Denis and sister Margaret.
Mary will repose at her residence (F23 WN80) today (Tuesday) from 5 until 7pm.
Removal takes place on Wednesday morning at 10.15 a.m to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m followed by burial in the Old Cemetery, Castlebar.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
