Diane O'Hora emerges as contender for Mayo senior ladies role

In the wake of Kildare's recent victory in the All-Ireland intermediate competition at Croke Park, speculation is rife that Diane O'Hora may be the frontrunner for the senior ladies football position in Mayo.

O'Hora's coaching career has gained attention, particularly after Kildare's hard-fought win against Clare, where they narrowly secured victory despite conceding two late goals in the All Ireland intermediate final.

O'Hora boasts an illustrious history in Gaelic football. Her playing days were marked by exceptional success, including winning the Brendan Martin Cup an impressive four times. Transitioning seamlessly into coaching and management, O'Hora has been at the helm with teams like Sligo, Meath, Roscommon, and, most recently, Kildare.

The Mayo senior ladies football team is on the lookout for a new manager following the departure of Michael Moyles, who led the team for a commendable three-year stint. Moyles, in his farewell statement, conveyed his appreciation to various stakeholders, including the county board, clubs, sponsors, and players, for their unwavering support and trust.
