Two Mayo businesses receive funding for online retailing

Two Mayo retailers have been successful in their applications under the government's Online Retail Scheme.

Deputy Michael Ring stated: “ I am very pleased that O’Donoghue’s Bakery, Belmullet, and Archers, Ballina, have been approved funding under the latest round of allocations.

“The Online Retail Scheme is a tremendous scheme.

"It helps businesses to expand their online offering and presence.

"We live in a digital world and it is vital that businesses have a strong online presence.

"Grants under this scheme will range from €10,000 to €25,000.

Deputy Michael Ring continued: “Many Irish companies have successfully made the digital transition in recent years and developed their online capability to sell their goods and services online.

"Consumer habits have largely changed and are moving towards the online world”.

“It is wonderful to see local Irish companies getting the opportunity to compete online and provide options to customers also.”
