Projects that could deliver over 50 new Mayo houses await green light

A planning application for a 32-house development in Foxford has come before Mayo County Council.

The site in question is at Mill Lodge, Irishtown, Foxford, where previous permissions were granted.

Developers Cappaglen Developments Ltd. have sought permission to construct 32 houses, comprising 10 four-bed semi-detached houses, eight four-bed detached homes, 10 three-bed semi-detached houses and four two-bed semi-detached bungalows.

The applicants proposed to decommission and remove the existing temporary foul sewer and rising main system and construct a new sewage pumping station at a new location, with gravity sewers connected to the pumping station.

The construction of access roads and landscaped amenity open spaces, including a MUGA, are also part of the proposal.

In south Mayo, plans to construct a new 21-unit housing development are also being considered.

The proposed development is at Lower James Street, (Clare Td), Claremorris, and comprises 12 three-bedroom and nine two-bedroom houses, with new vehicular and pedestrian site access.

EMW Developments Ltd. are behind the project.
