Mayo communities mourn passing of much-loved personality

The death has occurred of Niamh Kelly, Fortlands, Castlebar, and formerly of 5 Celtic Court, The Quay, Westport.

She died peacefully at the Mayo Hospice surrounded by her family.

Niamh will be sadly missed by her loving parents Don and Margaret (née Heverin, late of McHale Road, Castlebar), her boyfriend Liam McHugh, sisters Donna, Aoife and Avril, brothers Lee and Richard, brothers-in-law Donal Molaney (Clare), Vincent Kelly (Sligo) and Carl McEnroe (Sligo), sisters-in-law Olivia and Penny, Niamh's godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends, to whom deepest sympathy is extended.

She was predeceased by her niece Ava.

Many lovely tributes are being paid to Niamh on the condolences pages of the death notices website, RIP.ie.

"She had a great sense of humour and was full of smiles," one stated.

Another said: "She was a beautiful girl with the most beautiful soul. I feel lucky to have known her."

A further tribute stated: "It was an honour to have known such a lovely, bubbly girl. The conversations and laughs will be forever cherished."

Her remains will be reposing at 5 Celtic Court, Westport (F28 FD40) on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Requiem Mass takes place on Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Westport with interment afterwards in Aughavale Cemetery.
