Mayo Mayhem is Ireland's biggest windsurfing event

Mayo Mayhem – Ireland's biggest windsurfing event – will be held on Elly Beach, Belmullet, in the coming days.

The forecast looks great for the event, which is taking place tomorrow (Friday, October 6) and Saturday (October 7).

Strong winds and good size waves are predicted, allowing specular jumping and wave riding.

This year, Mayo Mayhem is a two-star ranked world tour event, attracting the best windsurfers from Ireland and abroad coming to compete in what could be the windiest place in Europe – Belmullet!

It will be a specular sight, full of colour, skill, bravery and excitement. For once, the worst of the wet and windy Irish weather will be making lots of people very happy as they push hard to win Mayo Mayhem 23.
