Swinford gets ready for its annual Féile na Samhna

THE 11th annual Féile na Samhna will take place in Swinford on the October bank holiday weekend, October 27 to 30.

There will be a busy packed schedule with events ranging from a youth seisiún on the Friday evening to a local history walk, followed by a cupán agus comhrá, refreshments and a session in Padraig Horkan's.

On the Saturday there were be singing and dancing workshops in Swinford NS followed by 'Preab sa Cheoil', a lovely interactive event compered by Joe Byrne and Marian Egan in the Gateway Hotel from 4 p.m.

The flagship event, The Rambling House, will take place, as usual, on the Sunday evening from 5 p.m.

Other great plans include a recital by the Midfield Pipe Band, a singing session and sessions in the local pubs.

It promises to be a great weekend of craic agus ceol.
