Go-ahead for cafe in former Connaught Telegraph offices

THE former offices of The Connaught Telegraph on Cavendish Lane in Castlebar are to be redeveloped as a cafe.

A grant of planning permission has issued for a change of use from retail to cafe use.

In a submission to planners, the applicants set out that the third party cafe involved is Cafe Nero, which has multiple outlets throughout Ireland.

Total seating is for 44 customers, with proposed staff numbers of four to five, depending on the days and times. It is proposed to open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The application for a change of use was submitted by Polewest SSAP/John McHale.
