Public consultation event on Westport local area and transport plans

Public consultation on the draft Westport Local Area Plan and draft Local Transport Plan for the town is now open.

People are invited to review the plans at a drop-in consultation event taking place today (Monday, October 23) in Westport Town Hall from 4 to 7.30 p.m.

Encouraging members of the public to attend, Councillor Peter Flynn said there will be planners and consultants present to help explain any aspect of either plan and the rationale behind the drafts.

He commented: “These plans set out the strategy for the town over the next six plus years so it is critical we get them right. As councillors we make the final decisions so your input is critical.”

Submissions must be made before November 7.
