A Woman's Heart appreciation night at old Mayo school venue

THE Irish Folk Music School in Glenisland, Castlebar, is kicking off the third season of its music appreciation society on Saturday, November 11.

The seminal album A Woman's Heart is the subject of this first gig.

Few Irish households do not have a copy of this platinum selling album featuring Maura O'Connell, Frances Black, Dolores Keane, Sharon Shannon, Eleanor McEvoy and Mary Black, which has meant so much to the Irish public for over 30 years.

In a tribute to one of the all time great musical collaborations, with a variety of traditional instruments and some beautiful vocal harmonies, the school's teachers will perform beloved tracks from this cherished album in this unique venue in Glenisland.

This is a one night only show and tickets are already selling, so book yours now on the website www.theirishfolk.com or on eventbrite.ie (link below).

There is no alcohol at this event but freshly brewed coffee, tea and goodies will be provided.

Tickets are very limited as the performance takes place in an actual 150-year-old classroom.

Doors will open at 7.30 and the show starts at 8 p.m.
