Gardaí issue update on discovery of body at Mayo residence

An Garda Siochána has issued a statement on the discovery of a body at a property in east Mayo.

It outlined: "Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a deceased a man aged in his 30s at a residence in Ballyhaunis on Saturday afternoon

"The State Pathologist has been notified, and a post-mortem will take place in due course.

"The scene remains preserved at this time.

"The outcome of the post-mortem examination will determine the course of the investigation."
