Noone lights up Mayo junior championship for Lahardane

The Black and Amber bounce back to intermediate level after a year in junior.

Lahardane MacHales secured a triumphant victory in the Mayo junior championship final defeating Shrule/Glencorrib with a final score of 2:10 to 0:11.

From the outset both sides were neck and neck resulting in a thrilling first half, ending with a score of 5 points apiece at the half time mark.

Mark Noone, a key player for Lahardane, emerged as the star of the show, delivering two sensational goals that left spectators in awe.

As the match unfolded, Shrule/Glencorrib fought hard to stay in contention, with Ronan Ward and Evan Cawley leading the charge. However, Lahardane's composure and skill, embodied by players like Shane Finnerty, Barry Leonard and Adrian Leonard, proved decisive.

Ultimately, it was Mark Noone's Erling Haaland-esque strike on the 55th minute that sealed the deal and sent the Black and Amber faithful into jubilant celebrations.
