East Mayo library reopens

CHARLESTOWN has welcomed the reopening of its library this week.

There was huge concern locally as the facility has been closed for some time, an issue raised numerous times by Councillor Gerry Murray.

However, its doors reopened to the public yesterday (Tuesday), children from the local national school having already enjoyed a 'sneak preview' with a few events held during the library service's Children's Book Festival.

Librarian Elizabeth Maher is on hand to welcome new and older members back to the library.

All details about library opening hours and contact details around the county are available at https://www.mayo.ie/library/using-your-library/find-a-branch.

Charlestown Library shared the history of the library on their Facebook page, written by Alan King.
