Deputy Dillon said: “This is great news for Louisburgh and their wider community. It will provide much-needed facilities for students with special educational needs in the area.

"I want to wish principal Emer Askin, her staff, pupils and board of management the very best with this project in the months ahead.”

Deputy Michael Ring has also welcomed the project.

“I am pleased that these works at Louisburgh N.S. have now been approved.

"I look forward to the works being completed and I’m sure that the teachers and students will benefit from the additional accommodation in their school,” he stated.
