The following are today's Mayo death and funeral notices.

ANNE ROONEY, BREAFFY

Anne Rooney, Breaffy, Castlebar and Renmore, Galway (formerly Department of Social Protection).

She peacefully at her residence in Breaffy following a long illness, bravely borne.

She is sadly missed by her brothers Noel and Martin, sisters Mary and Margaret, her special friend Joe, brothers-in-law Tom and Shane, nephew Liam, nieces Caitriona, Caóimhe, Malia and Clíodhna and her many treasured friends and relations.

Anne’s remains will repose Coady’s Funeral home, Castlebar on Thursday from 5.30 to 7 p.m. with removal on Friday morning at 11.15 a.m for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in St. Aloysius Church, Breaffy.

Anne will be laid to rest afterwards in Breaffy Cemetery.

JAMES CRONOLLY, KILLASSER

James Cronolly, Ballintubber, Cronolly, Ballintubber, Castlerea, and formerly Killasser, Swinford, retired Sergeant, Garda Siochana.

He passed away peacefully in the loving care of Drumderrig House Nursing Home, Boyle.

Predeceased by his sister Kathleen, brothers PJ, John and Tom.

Sadly missed by his wife Maura, son Fergus and daughter Judith, daughter-in-law Adele, son-in-law Roger, beloved grandchildren Hannah, Sam, Sarah and Lauren, brother Vincent, sisters-in-law Marie and Mary, brother-in-law Nick,nieces, nephews, wider family, great friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Flanagans Funeral Home, Ballymoe (Eircode F45 DN79), on Wednesday from until 7.30pm.

Followed by removal to St. Bride's Church, Ballintubber.

Requiem Mass at 12 noon Thursday, followed by burial in Ballintubber Cemetery.

FR. THOMAS LEYDEN SVD, BALLINROBE

Fr. Thomas (Tom) Leyden SVD, Donamon Castle, Co. Roscommon, and formerly of Ballinrobe.

He died at his SVD Community House in Nairobi, Kenya.

Beloved son of the late John Joseph and Ellen (Moran) of Abbey Street, Ballinrobe, and brother of his late sister Maura (O’Connell) RIP.

Fondly remembered by his loving nieces Sharon and Helena and his nephew Tom and their spouses John, David and Irene, grandnieces Maura, Chloe, Evie and Robyn and grandnephew Eric.

Tom will be gratefully remembered by his confreres in the Irish-British and Kenyan-Tanzanian Provinces of the Divine Word Missionaries and especially by his many friends and neighbours of the Donamon Community.

Requiem Mass will be concelebrated at 10.00 am (Kenyan Time) on Friday at the Divine Word Parish Church of Kayole, Nairobi and burial afterwards at the SVD Community Cemetery.

A Memorial Mass will be concelebrated at 11.00 am on Saturday, December 9, at the Divine Word Chapel, Donamon Castle, Co, Roscommon.

ALBERTO LUIS MAESO, BALLINA

Alberto Luis Maeso, The Glebe, Ballina, and late of England and Spain.

He died peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Moyridge Nursing Home Ballina.

Alberto was predeceased by his wife Teresa, his parents Angel and Constance Maeso and his brother Martin and sister Helena,

Beloved father of Helen and Martin, he will be sadly missed by his daughter, son, grandchildren Tilly, Minnie, Bella, Louis, Felicity, Violet, Rufus, Evie, Finn and Fabian, son-in-law Paul Barrett, daughter-in-law Beccy, sister-in-law Nancy, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

Funeral will arrive to St. Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina, on Thursday morning for Requiem Mass at 11:30 a.m. followed by burial in Ballinahaglish Cemetery, Knockmore.

ANTHONY WALSH, LACKEN

Anthony Walsh, Banagher, Carrowmore-Lacken, Ballina.

He died at Moyridge Nursing Home.

Predeceased by his parents Mary and Michael Walsh, his brothers Richard, Michael, Johnny, Paddy, Jimmy, and sister Kathleen.

Anthony will be sadly missed by his sister Annie McHale, sister in law Maureen Walsh, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lynns Funeral Home, Killala, on Thursday from 4:30 p.m, with removal at 5:30 p.m. to Lacken Church, for prayer reception at 6 p.m.

Mass in Lacken Church on Friday at 12 noon, followed by burial in Rathfran Cemetery.

CHRISTINE HLUBEK, STRAIDE

Christine Hlubek, Cloonconlan, Straide, Foxford.

She died peacefully after a short illness at Mayo University Hospital with her family by her side.

Christine was predeceased by her beloved husband Manfred.

Christine will be dearly and lovingly missed by her son Sascha, daughter in-law Niamh, her grandchildren Tobi and Muireann and her sister Elli, her extended network of dear friends, neighbours and relatives.

Christine will lie in repose at Clarke's Funeral Home, Foxford (F26 TH27) on Saturday afternoon from 3 o’clock until 5 o’clock.

A private cremation will take place later.

THOMAS LOWTHER, KILMEENA

Thomas Lowther, Cross, Kilmeena, Westport.

Predeceased by his wife Mona.

Thomas will sadly missed by his loving daughter Liz, son William, son-in-law John Mullee, grandchildren Louise, Luke, Molly and Rosie, sister, brothers, extended family, neighbours and friends

Requiem Mass will take place in St. Brendan's Church, Kilmeena at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with the funeral proceeding to Myna Cemetery.

MICHAEL RONAYNE, IRISHTOWN

Michael Ronayne, Kilmacnella House, Irishtown.

He died peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the staff of Galway University Hospital.

Predeceased by his father Luke, mother Birdie and infant sister Mary Brenda.

Micheal will be deeply missed by his wife Maureen (née Gormally) daughters Maria, Sarah and Jayne, son's Luke and Michael, partners Matt, Joanne, Laura and Colm, grandchildren Michael, James and David , brothers Fr James (Clifden), Martin (California), Patrick (Clonbern), sister's Kathleen Martin (Massmore), Evelyn (Tuam), Mary Donnellan (Tuam/Carnaun), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, niece's, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing in Carey's Funeral Home, Ballindine (F12A3C6), on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Michael's remains will arrive to the Church of the Holy Family, Irishtown, on Thursday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon.

Burial afterwards in Irishtown Cemetery.
