Milder conditions expected.

Mild weather to return for Mayo on Tuesday

We can expect a relatively mild day tomorrow as the weather takes a turn from the recent frosty conditions, according to the latest forecast.

Take a look below at what the weather has in store for the county.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5

The day will begin with a touch of frost and isolated patches of fog, gradually clearing to reveal a mainly dry and bright day.

While spells of sunshine are expected, clouds will increase as the day progresses, and temperatures will range from 3 to 6 degrees Celsius. South easterly winds are predicted to freshen later in the day, particularly in western coastal areas.

Tuesday night in Mayo will be initially dry with clear spells, but temperatures are expected to rise from the southwest as outbreaks of rain gradually extend north eastward.

The night will bring milder conditions, though there is a possibility of some sleet on the leading edge of the rainfall.

Residents are advised to be cautious of potential frost, ice, and fog, especially in the midlands, east, and north regions.
