Mild and weather for Mayo as frost clears

We can expect a relatively mild, wet and windy day tomorrow as the weather takes a turn from the recent frosty conditions, according to the latest forecast.

Take a look below at what the weather has in store for the county.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6

Residents should brace themselves for persistent and heavy rain during the afternoon, potentially leading to spot flooding.

Despite the inclement weather, temperatures will be milder than recent days, ranging between 7 to 10 degrees Celsius. Coastal areas can expect strong gusts accompanying fresh to strong south east winds.

As night falls, Mayo is set to experience mild, wet, and windy conditions, especially in coastal regions.

The evening will see outbreaks of heavy rain, occasionally giving way to drier intervals from the south west. However, the respite will be short-lived, with more rain and drizzle anticipated from the south later in the night.

Overnight temperatures will range from 5 to 9 degrees Celsius, with the coldest conditions expected in Ulster.

South east winds will moderate briefly before picking up again towards morning.
