52nd edition of Castlebar Parish Magazine now on sale

The 52nd edition of the annual Castlebar Parish Magazine is now on sale at local outlets.

It includes all the usual features that have made the publication so popular over the years.

The front cover features a lovely seasonal image captured by Mike Staunton at Lough Lannagh while, on the back cover, there is a beautiful picture by Frank Fullard of the stain glass Rosary window over the high altar of the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.

It was edited by Joe Redmond and published by JBohan Design.

In his editorial, Mr. Redmond commented: "Especially at this time, it is difficult to look to the future with confidence.

"Peace is at a premium in many parts of the world with so much turmoil and conflict.

"Yet we must keep the hope of better times as we approach a new year with uncertainty."

All in all, it is a brilliant read, not to be missed by Castlebar people at home and abroad.
