TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12
Meteorologists predict a mixed bag of weather to start the week.
The day will commence with the gradual dissipation of mist and fog in the morning, though a persistent cloud cover is expected throughout.
While scattered showers, potentially heavy, are forecasted, dry periods will dominate the weather landscape.
Daytime temperatures are anticipated to reach between 8 to 10 degrees Celsius, accompanied by light, variable breezes that will later shift to a north westerly direction, gaining strength along coastal regions.
As night falls in Mayo, the skies will retain their cloudiness, with lingering scattered showers giving way to a predominantly dry overnight period.
Temperatures will dip to a range of 5 to 8 degrees Celsius, and light to moderate northerly winds will prevail.
The national outlook suggests continued unsettled conditions early in the week, gradually subsiding into a less windy and drier mid-week scenario.
