Mayo GAA gear up for pre-season campaign

As the GAA calendar inches closer to the new year, Mayo football fans are eagerly anticipating the commencement of the Connaught GAA FBD League.

The recently confirmed fixtures promise an exciting pre-season campaign, set to unfold in the state-of-the-art University of Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome in Bekan.

The action throws-in on Friday, January 5, with an intense quarter-final clash between Sligo and Roscommon at 7 p.m.

Mayo's journey in the competition begins on Sunday, January 9, at 1 p.m., as they face London in what will be their FBD debut.

The semi-final stage, scheduled for Friday, January 12, at 7 p.m., sees Leitrim locking horns with Galway. Simultaneously, the other semi-final fixture on Saturday, January 13, at 7 p.m., pits the winners of Mayo/London against the victors of Sligo/Roscommon.

The climax of the FBD League is set for Friday, January 19, at 7:30 p.m., as the finalists vie for silverware. TG4 will broadcast the final live.
