Treble success celebrated at Casey’s Londis in Mayo county town

THERE was treble success for Casey’s Londis, Castlebar, at the 2023 ShelfLife retailer awards.

The award-winning store took gold in the ShelfLife National C Store Awards Best Large Convenience Store.

And gold as Checkout National Grocery Retail Award for Excellence in Fresh Food Retailing in a Forecourt Store.

They were also winners of the ShelfLife Grocery Retail Awards Team of the Year 2023.

And they were a finalist in the Checkout National Grocery Retail Award for Ireland’s Forecourt Retailer.

The management team in Castlebar is led by Aiden Hennigan for the past 20 years. Aiden brings a wealth of retail knowledge and outstanding expertise to his team.

Aiden said: “We currently employ 40 staff, and pride ourselves on staff retention as more than half the team have been with us over 10 years, which displays great camaraderie throughout the group.

“Through our energetic, passionate people and market leading brands we aim to exceed our customers’ expectations through friendly, professional customer service.”

Store owners Gerry and Kate Casey have congratulated store manager Aiden Hennigan and all his team for their recent success and described their determination, drive and passion to be the best at what they do each and every day. “Well done to all,” Gerry said.

Aiden Hennigan said it was a huge honour to receive three major awards this year and took this opportunity to thank all his team for their outstanding hard work and loyalty throughout the years.

Aiden said The Kitchen at Casey’s has built a reputation for high quality food, exceptional customer service and hygiene.

He added: “Our food is prepared fresh in-house by our expert chefs using the finest ingredients locally sourced where possible.

“We offer a huge choice to our customers from breakfast to a vast range of traditional hot dinners, to our new ‘Enjoy’ range, homemade soup, ready meals, and gourmet sandwiches all available every day in store. Traditional home cooked meats and freshly prepared salads are also available from our cold counter.”

Recognising the trend for healthy fresh food, Casey’s have ‘Freshly Chopped’, Mayo’s only Freshly Chopped store.
