However, as the day progresses, clouds will gather from the south, leading to the onset of rain during the afternoon and early evening.

The rain is anticipated to be heavy at times, with afternoon temperatures ranging from 5 to 9 degrees Celsius.

Winds will shift from light to moderate south to southwest, backing east to southeast ahead of the rain and intensifying to moderate to fresh and gusty by evening.

Monday night in Mayo will see the clearance of rain from northern areas, while a new spell of rain develops in the southwest, accompanied by overnight temperatures of around 3 to 7 degrees Celsius.
