Legendary Mayo goalkeeper is feted by his club
Legendary goalkeeper Padraig Cresham has been honoured with a Hall of Fame Award by Castlebar Celtic FC.
He was presented with the accolade at the club's annual presentation ceremony.
Cresham enjoyed a distinguished playing career and was a member of the all-conquering Celtic side of the 1980s which won two Connaught Cups (1981 and 1985), five consecutive Mayo League titles from 1983 to 1987, the Connaught Senior League crown (1989) and the Connaught Club Champions (Michael Byrne) Cup on two occasions (1981 and 1986.)
Following his retirement, he became actively involved with the club as a manager, coach and specialist goalkeeping coach. He rarely misses a match at Celtic Park.
