Experienced Mayo official takes on top Connacht GAA role

Former Mayo GAA secretary Vincent Neary is the new president of the Connacht GAA Council.

He was elected to the role at the annual general meeting of the organisation at its Centre of Excellence in Bekan.

The Bonniconlon clubman has held numerous positions within Mayo GAA over the years.

He has served as a player and administrator with his club.

Vincent was an officer of the North Mayo GAA Board for many years and has refereed at club, county and inter-county level.

Mayo GAA has wished him every success in his new role.
