Mayo to face Kerry in Oscar Traynor Cup quarterfinal

Following their provincial victory in the FAI Oscar Traynor Cup at the weekend, the Mayo League will host the Kerry League in the national quarterfinal next month.

The game is pencilled in for the weekend of February 17/18, to be played in Solar 21 Park, Milebush, Castlebar.

In the other quarterfinal ties, Connaught runners-up Sligo/Leitrim will face the Leinster winners away from home, the Waterford League will host the Leinster runners-up, and the Ulster winners will host the third-placed Leinster team. The Ulster winners and the three Leinster teams have yet to be determined.

The semi-finals are scheduled for the weekend of March 9/10, with the final due to be played on Sunday, March 31.

The new date for the Mayo's quarterfinal – it was originally due to be played on January 28 – means the start of the 2024 season has been pushed back by one week.

The adult leagues will now commence on Sunday, February 25, with the Under 17 leagues to start on Saturday, March 2, while the Mayo League underage awards presentations are due to be held on Friday, February 23.
