Funeral of Mayo victim of road tragedy

THE funeral will take place this weekend of a Mayo woman who died in a road traffic accident earlier this week.

Teresa Sweeney from Kiltimagh was a passenger in a car involved in a three-vehicle collision on Tuesday morning on the N17 at Gortnagunned, Milltown, Galway.

Teresa (née Hegarty), from Treenagleragh, Kiltimagh, is being remembered fondly in the local community as a very kind and gentle lady.

She was predeceased by her husband Paddy, sister Mary and brothers Mick and John.

Tereasa is deeply regretted by her loving daughter Margaret, son-in-law Jerome, sisters Peg Loftus (Sligo) and Anne Caestecker (USA), brothers Andy (Ballymote) and Jimmy (Aclare), brothers-in-law, sisters-in- law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends to whom sympathy is extended on their loss.

Teresa will repose in O'Hora's Funeral Home, Kiltimagh, on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., arriving in the Church of the Holy Family, Kiltimagh, at 8.15 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday is at 12 noon followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium.
