Reopening of west Mayo playground on hold

THE reopening of a playground in Westport is on hold as the weather has taken its toll.

Mayo County Council has issued a statement explaining that due to recent adverse weather conditions, they are unable to reopen the community playground at the Golf Course Road, Westport, as planned this week.

It will remain temporarily closed for two to three weeks until such time as the grass areas have time to re-establish and dry out.
