Mayo's Conor Reid leaving the pitch after picking up a hamstring injury in the clash against Dublin.

Double injury blow for Mayo ahead of Tralee mission

Mayo manager Kevin McStay has a number of injury concerns ahead of his side's next Allianz National Football League clash against Kerry in Tralee on Saturday, February 17, at 7.30 p.m.

Conor Reid and Eoghan McLaughlin are likely to miss the fixture due to injury setbacks as Mayo seek a third consecutive win in the series.

Reid picked up a hamstring injury in the first half of last night's one-point win over Dublin while McLaughlin sustained a calf injury.

After the game, McStay told RTE Sport: "I'd have settled for the one for sure but getting the two is brilliant.

"It gives us four out of the two games and we stayed at it. That's what I loved about the effort.

"Right to the very end they stayed alive and stayed thinking about what was possible.

"What pleases us when we look back on it is that we stayed at it. We showed a lot of backbone even after the first quarter which we would not be happy with.

"Our finishing was not where we wanted it to be. But that's the National League, it's not linear. A lot of stuff happened in that match and thankfully we came out the right side of it.

"Our conversion rate could be better."
