Mayo player leads the Lidl LGFA National League Division 1 scoring tables

Ace Mayo forward Lisa Cafferky is leading the scoring tables in the Lidl LGFA National League Division 1 after three rounds of fixtures.

Her tally of 4-8 (20) is an impressive contribution to the team over the three games, in which Mayo were beaten at home by Meath and Dublin but secured a win on the road against Galway

Cafferky is being hotly pursued by Emma Duggan of Meath (0-19) and Katie Quirke of Cork (1-16) in the scoring tables, while one of her own Mayo team-mates has made a significant contribution as well.

Maria Cannon's tally of 1-14 (17) sees her in fourth place in the table, just three points behind Cafferky.

After three rounds of play in Division 1, Kerry, Meath and Armagh have maximum points. Dublin, Cork and Mayo all have three points having secured one win each, while Galway and Waterford prop up the table with to nothing to show from their three games to date.

Next up for Cafferky, Cannon and their Mayo team-mates is a daunting trip to defending league champions and current leaders Kerry. The game is scheduled for Saturday, February 17, in Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney (throw-in 2.30 p.m.).
