Mayo hopefuls can apply now for the Digital Town Awards

Local Fianna Fáil Minister Dara Calleary has encouraged local businesses and communities across Mayo to submit an application for the Digital Town Awards.

The Digital Town Awards are open to community organisations, town groups, regional or national collaboration projects and individual businesses who can demonstrate implementation and impact of digital strategies.

With a prize fund of €60,000 across 10 categories, the awards provide an opportunity for local towns, businesses and communities to receive well-deserved recognition for their innovative use of digital.

Minister Calleary said: “The Digital Town Awards continue to illuminate the profound impact of digital innovation throughout Ireland and not only celebrate the advancements achieved through digital transformation, but also serve as a catalyst for raising awareness, fostering usage and enhancing understanding of digital solutions among communities and businesses.

“The awards have been a beacon of inspiration, showcasing the remarkable progress and positive transformations occurring within local communities across Mayo. The awards are not just about recognising excellence but also about nurturing a culture of innovation that empowers individuals and organisations to embrace the possibilities of the digital age.”

Entry to the awards is free. Applications close at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 1.
