Mayo arts centre pays tribute to the late Michael Mullen

The Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar, has paid tribute to Mayo writer and historian Michael Mullen on his passing.

It stated: "Michael held an ongoing passion for the arts and was a loyal friend and supporter of the Linenhall since its inception.

"Michael and his wife Deirdre were familiar faces at Linenhall gatherings and gallery openings and Michael was a special guest and speaker at many events.

"We are indebted to Michael and Deirdre for their ongoing support of local arts and Michael's kind face and friendly conversation will be sadly missed here at the Linenhall for many years to come.

"Sending our deepest condolences to Deirdre and all of Michael's family during this difficult time."
