Mayo Young Sports Stars: Camogie star makes a mark at club and county level

A dual player who lines out with Aghamore LGFA, Lilian Keane is being recognised on this occasion for her prowess with the small ball in the camogie colours of both Tooreen and Mayo.

Lilian has won several Al-Ireland medals over the years. She was on the Feile team that won at national level over seven years ago, and also won an All-Ireland medal with Mayo LGFA squad in the same year.

Her favoured position in camogie is wing-forward and she has a steady hand and eye as a free-taker.

Even though she is currently studying at ATU Galway, Lilian still finds time for all her training, and she continues to put in solid performances at both club and county level.

For her performances last year, Lilian has been selected for a Connaught Telegraph Mayo Young Sports Stars Award. The ceremony takes place next Friday, March 8, in Breaffy House Resort, Castlebar.
