North Mayo EUROSPAR outlet gives boost to Ballyglass RNLI

Brogan’s EUROSPAR, Belmullet, recently announced that Ballyglass RNLI was to benefit from a €1,000 presentation from the local community retailer, after they were chosen as one of the winners of EUROSPAR’s nationwide ‘Let’s Celebrate Community’ campaign.

Ballyglass lifeboat station has provided search and rescue cover in the north Mayo area for over 15 years. The station operates both an inshore D class lifeboat and the largest lifeboat in the fleet, a Severn class lifeboat.

More than 80 groups from around the country applied for the second wave of funding provided by the ‘Let’s Celebrate Community’ initiative and a representative from the 10 groups who were successful were recently presented with their prize by their local retailer.

Commenting, Annette Brogan of Brogan’s EUROSPAR said: “Everyone in Brogan’s is proud to serve the local community and we are delighted that this presentation will go some way to helping Ballyglass RNLI continue their important work.”
