Extension approved for south Mayo national school
ROBEEN Central National School has received initial project approval from the Department of Education for the construction of a new mainstream classroom.
"This approval is not just a win for Robeen National School; it's a big boost for the entire community, marking a positive step forward in the enhancement of educational facilities in the area,” said Deputy Alan Dillon.
“The addition of a new mainstream classroom will cater to the growing demand and ensure that its students have access to the best possible learning environment.”
Deputy Michael Ring, also welcoming the approval, commented: “This extension is very welcome news for the pupils and staff of Robeen Central National School. It will be an excellent addition to the school and it will increase their capacity and add to their existing facilities.
“The Additional Accommodation Scheme is an important programme which improves the quality of school buildings and helps them to expand their capacity.”
As the school prepares for this exciting phase of expansion, Deputy Dillon wished principal Canny, the staff and the students continued success in their endeavours: "This is just the beginning of a new chapter in the school's history, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact this extension will have on its students' educational journey."
