Improvement works needed at Mayo playground

SOME improvements at the playground in Foxford have been requested by Councillor Neil Cruise.

A second disabled parking space is needed, he said. And on disabled parking generally, he asked that spaces around the town be more clearly marked in blue.

At the clearway at the playground, people are pulling up on the footpaths and he requested bollards to stop this.

A wheelchair roundabout was installed in the playground, he continued, and he asked that the quality of work be looked at and that there would be a link to it so children can enjoy inclusive play.

Located beside a busy car park, Councillor Cruise also asked if the gate into the playground could be moved to a quieter area to make it safer for children using the facility.
