Additional accommodation for east Mayo school
THE Department of Education has confirmed that approval has been granted through the Additional School Accommodation Scheme for the construction of a special education teaching room at Carracastle Central NS.
Said Minister of State Alan Dillon: “I am delighted that approval for this additional room has been granted to the school. This room will ensure that teachers can work with children with special educational needs either individually or in groups.
“I am committed to ensuring the further development of this school into the future to meet the needs of the local community.
“I want to wish the school’s principal, staff, pupils and board of management the very best as the approach the end of the 2023/2024 school year.”
Deputy Michael Ring also welcomed the news, saying the teachers and students will benefit from the additional accommodation being provided.
