Taoiseach visiting Mayo this weekend

TAOISEACH Simon Harris is visiting Mayo this weekend.

He will be officially opening the Colm Horkan Memorial Pitch and community walkways in Charlestown tomorrow (Sunday) at 1 p.m.

A full day's schedule of matches is being hosted by Charlestown Sarsfields GAA Club to mark the occasion. A programme of street entertainment will round off the day.

The Taoiseach will also be visiting Swinford.

Local Fine Gael election candidate Antoinette Peyton has announced that Mr. Harris will be outside Mellett’s Emporium at 2 p.m.

She commented: “This visit is a tremendous honour, not only for me as a local election candidate, but for our entire community.”
