Man charged after €305,000 of cocaine seized in Dublin

A man has been arrested and charged following the seizure of €305,000 of cocaine in Coolock, County Dublin.

Gardaí conducted a search under warrant at an address in Coolock at approximately 4.30pm on Monday afternoon.

The search was conducted under Operation Tara, as part of an investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.

During the course of the search, suspected cocaine valued at approximately €305,500 was seized by gardaí. The drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).

Over €17,000 in cash was also seized.

A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested during the course of the operation and detained at a Garda station in County Dublin.

He has since been charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Tuesday morning.
