Mayo top their group at Gaynor Cup

MAYO have topped their group at the Gaynor Cup tournament.

The Mayo girls played their second match of the day today, kicking off at 4 p.m., with Waterford their opponents. Management made eight changes to their starting line-up as they sought the single point that would see them top Group 2.

Waterford led on nine minutes but Maya Benson of Kilmurry cancelled that out on 26 minutes and that's how it remained.

Mayo await their Cup quarterfinal opponents after the final round of group games at 6 p.m. this evening, followed by the draw.
